It’s time to share photos of some of the wonderful coaches and consultants I’ve worked with to create professional headshots in Brighton over recent months.

This article convers some of the common challenges my clients in these fields share, why professional headshots are key to building trust with potential clients, and how people in similar fields created distinct, on-brand images that they are proud to use everywhere.

I also share some tips on how to find the right photographer if you’re a coach or consultant.

Professional headshots Brighton

I work so often with talented coaches, facilitators and consultants and they usually have a few things in common:

  1. They have developed a clear offering, and know that they need to be more visible to connect with more potential clients

  2. They’re relying on a mixture of selfies, an old work photo or stock imagery which don’t look as professional as they are in real life

  3. They’re a bit camera-shy and nervous about working with a professional headshots photographer

The most common thing my clients tell me is that they want to come across as professional and approachable. And be able to be easily recognisable online - with a consistent, high quality look across their website and social media.

Why professional headshots make the difference

Coaching is such a personal experience - having a trusted relationship is essential. And the trust building process begins before the coach steps into the room with their client.

Having a warm, professional headshot that gives a hint at your personality, and your values, is a really good way to attract the sorts of clients you want to work with.

The chances of someone getting in touch with you is much higher if there’s a welcoming face on your website or LinkedIn profile photo.

The quality of the image is also highly important. It communicates, at a sub-conscious level that your services are of equal quality - that you have invested in your craft. Again, this builds trust and credibility with your potential clients.

Recent Brighton professional headshots

I wanted to share a handful of images from the coaches and consultants I’ve worked with in and around Brighton lately:

Executive coach, Catherine Andrews

Coach and strategic facilitator, Sara Masters

Career and performance coach, Tom Wheelhouse

Content consultant, Trisha Brandon

With Catherine, Sara, Trisha and Tom, we spent time discussing their values, what aspects of their personality they wanted to get across, and the environment they wanted to be photographed in. Taken together, these elements create not just professional headshots, but a recognisable brand for their coaching business.

Brighton and the surrounding area has no end of great options for professional headshots.

Catherine's Brighton professional headshots

Catherine booked a personal branding package and we chose the beautiful Stanmer Park for the location, using the sandstone walls of Stanmer House, the apple orchard, and the village for our photos.

Relaxed headshots with Sara in Lewes

Sara lives in Lewes, and we took photos in her home, and against some eye-catching walls in the town. Her style is warm, down to earth and welcoming and so photographing her at home created a friendly, cosy atmosphere of her professional headshots.

Outdoor headshots in Worthing with Tom

Tom and I waited for torrential rain to pass over us, before spending an hour on Worthing beach under moody skies. He holds coaching sessions outdoors and wanted to show his local environment in the photos.

Brighton professional headshots with Trisha

Trisha really wanted to show what it’s like working with her, so she enlisted a friend for her to interact with in her colourful home and in a local outdoor cafe.

Finding a Brighton professional headshots photographer

If you’re thinking about investing in professional headshots in Brighton, or beyond, here are a few things to bear in mind:

  • Do you like the photographer’s style? Do you think your clients would resonate with their style of photography?

  • Does the photographer already work with people in your profession?

  • If you’re camera-shy, ask them - how do they make the process easy and accessible?

  • Do you need a couple of headshots, or photos of you interacting with clients? Check with them which of their packages would suit you best.

Are you coach, facilitator or consultant? Would you like to be more visible but your current photos are holding you back? I’d love to hear from you. Contact me here or book a time for an informal chat here.
